First Place on the Line

The Boise Generals (1-3) and the Arco Anarchy (1-2) will face each other on Saturday May 3rd. Believe it or not, if the Generals win they will be in first place of the Idaho division.

The Anarchy are a very classy organization that play the game with passion and respect. The Anarchy love to hit and will not shy away from contact. The Anarchy are led by Koby Spencer, Brandon Peebler, and Brad Cook on offense. These guys will present different challenges to the Generals and they will have to game plan for them. Their defense held the highest scoring team in the league below their average. On paper Ryan Udy is small but he plays big. Look for him to be around the ball all night. The Generals know how good the Anarchy are and the Generals know how important this game is to their season.

The momentum train is rolling and the Generals plan to ride it to Arco on Saturday. With their confidence rising; the Generals were not where they wanted to be at the beginning of the season but are definitely in the race for first place in their division. First thing first, travel well, the Generals cannot afford to be shorthanded.

The Offense is ready to prove that last week was not a fluke. Daniel Jenkins told me just minutes ago; “We need to establish the run early in the game and we are ready to be as physical as they will be.” The generals will have to play very physical, as they know their opponent will. The defense needs to keep building on what they are doing as a unit. They are getting contribution from a lot of guys and that needs to continue. Tackling this week is the focus, not just 1 guy but everyone to the ball. I just over heard a defensive meeting and I won’t give away the game plan but I did hear one group say over and over; “we have to win the turnover battle."

This will be a hard hitting, physical game. The team that makes the fewest mistakes will win, but such is the case every week.
